Most home search starts with a price and a map. This starts with what your household actually needs from the place, and answers from the nineteen neighbourhoods we have written up ourselves — each match showing the sentence on that neighbourhood's own page that earned it. If nothing fits, it says nothing fits and tells you what you are describing, which is worth more than a list.

We did not ask about schools, and will not rank them. We hold no school data, so any answer we gave would be our opinion wearing a fact's clothes — and an opinion about schools attached to a neighbourhood recommendation is exactly what fair-housing law calls steering. Tell us the district you are looking at and we will give you the facts we do hold; the ratings are published and yours to read.

Every answer was "no preference" — which is a fair answer, and it means any list we produced would be our taste rather than yours. The neighbourhood guides are free and complete; read two or three and the preferences tend to surface on their own.
